Qualifications of Douglas Barton, M.D.
Dr. Douglas Barton is a board-certified pediatrician with SSM Medical Group in Lake St. Louis, MO. He has been working with working with children and their families since 1995, including everything from normal healthy children to severe asthma cases to attention deficit disorder and other behavioral problems. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Barton received his medical degree from the University of California and completed his residency at St. Louis Children's Hospital in 1995. He has been in group practice with
SSM Medical Group since then. You can also see him in the emergency room at SSM St. Joseph Hospital West now and then.
Dr. Barton has volunteered his time for community dialogues and education throughout his career. He has participated in several round-table sessions with St. Charles County school personnel and written numerous articles for newsletters, newspapers and blogs regarding children's health.
He has appeared on News Channel 5 numerous times for a professional opinion on children's health matters.
